Ghosting doesn’t just happen in dating. In the past years, many new clients came to us after engaging previous solicitors because 1. they got ghosted—calls unanswered, no updates, no clarity. 2. unfortunately, they don’t understand what’s going on, what’s next with their case. Practising law is really demanding in Malaysia and I understand a lack of time in a lawyer’s day. It is definitely not intentional - sometimes it’s a capacity problem. Matters are constantly popping up, that need to be solved urgently daily. That being said, I fully empathise that a client is anxious – it may be the most stressful problem in their life at that time. This is why we want to make communication easier for our clients. Malaysians love using WhatsApp, and at Justin Faye & Partners we use WhatsApp groups to maintain communication. A Whatsapp group chat is created for every new file, so even if I’m tied up in court or a meeting, my team is there to keep clients updated. We know that not every answer is immediate. But we endeavour to ensure once appointed, you’re never left wondering, “What’s happening in my case?”
