As lawyers, we practice law daily. Even weekends and 20 hours a day, at times. But managing our own personal finances to reach a goal? That is a different story. After speaking with many friends and colleagues for ages, I realised that many working adults in Malaysia don’t carve out time to understand financial planning. We all want to save money and invest, perhaps have the option to retire or be free of debts. Like all skill sets, I believe the first step is knowledge and getting started. Thereafter, depending on character, perhaps it is to keep each other accountable. The sooner we get a hold of our personal finances, the better. Definitely one of the skills I wish to attain earlier in my adult life. Yesterday, we booked out everyone’s time for about 1.5 to 2 hours in the afternoon and we hosted at our office : A special workshop 🌟 Unlock Your Path to Financial Independence 🌟 for Team JFP to bridge that gap - a chance for our team to learn about: • Understanding their money habits • Setting their personal financial goals • Calculating how much they need to achieve retirement • Understanding the right calculators  • Choosing suitable investments based on risk appetite This is not just another workshop. It’s about equipping our team personally with basic knowledge. 📍 It is also a reminder for us to pause, take stock of our lives and money habits + savings; and perhaps work towards a particular financial goal. Thank you Cannie Tan for your kindness and expertise during this session, we truly learned a lot from you! Great slides and a fun interactive session as a whole. Team Justin Faye & Partners appreciates you! P.s. – my business partner Justin Ong tells me that kids these days in school actually have financial planning classes. How lucky they are!!  I am curious what is the one skill set, not industry-related, that you wish you had learned sooner as an adult?
