Tomorrow marks my last day at Citi after an 11-month placement that has genuinely been one of the most positive and formative experiences of my life. 🎉 I was incredibly fortunate to join a team that challenged my technical abilities to the highest degree - with endless support along the way. I leave as a more confident and consistent developer: able to produce high-quality code, test and deploy with confidence, explain my work clearly in daily scrum calls, deliver demos, and create training documentation where relevant. 💻 Working within a fast-paced, globally distributed agile team taught me to speak up, raise concerns early, and defend technical decisions with confidence. Most importantly, it reinforced that impact goes beyond code: documentation, knowledge sharing, and culture matter just as much. 🌍 A personal highlight I'll never forget was organising and hosting Develop-Her - an incredible event celebrating the inspirational women in our office. The support from everyone involved was a true reflection of just how inclusive and supportive our workplace culture is. 💜 A huge thank you to my manager Derek Armstrong and my entire team - your trust, mentorship, and support made this placement truly special. And to everyone I met along the way: you are all genuinely inspiring. I will carry your advice and encouragement with me throughout my career. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. 🙏 #CitiBelfast #LifeAtCiti Queen's University Belfast | School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science EEECS
