Let me tell you a story. Last April, I went to the Light Upon Light Türkiye Retreat 🇹🇷 for work alongside beloved scholars like Imam Omar Suleiman, Mufti Menk, Sheikh Abu Bakr Zoud, and more. But I didn’t expect it to hit the way it did. I came to do my job. I left with a lot more than footage. Being surrounded by Muslims from Germany, Australia, the US, the UK all in one place, with the same intention created a vibe that’s hard to put into words. The talks were powerful, but what really stayed with me were the coffee chats with the shuyūkh. No barriers. No formality. Just honest, open conversations in small circles about life, deen, doubts, goals. They’ve just launched Türkiye 2026, and this time I’m going not just for work, but as a participant too.
