“Knowledge of GMP and QC documentation required.” Whenever I read job descriptions for chemists, I often see these terms. Not everyone fully understands what these terms mean in our daily lab work — so I thought to share it in my own way from past experience. 🧪GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is about doing every lab activity in the right, safe, and consistent way - It includes ^ ✅ Following approved SOPs ✅ Keeping the workplace clean and safe ✅ Using only calibrated instruments ✅ Ensuring every process is traceable and reproducible 📄 QC Documentation (Quality Control Documentation) This part is also equally important. It’s how we prove that every test result is reliable. It includes — •Raw data sheets and test reports •Calibration and standardization records •Instrument logbooks •Reagent preparation records and COAs •Sample receipt and retain registers •Deviation, OOS, and corrective action logs •Approval and review signatures #Chemistry #GMP #QCDocumentation #QualityControl #QualityAssurance #LabPractice #ChemistLife #UAEJobs
