Giving you a glimpse from Prof. Garabed Antranikian's notable biography, a prominent world-famous microbiologist. ๐Ÿ’ก Dr. Garabed Antranikian has a prolific academic and professional background, from having over 200 peer-reviewed publications to coordinating large-scale projects to becoming the President of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) from 2011 to 2018 and serving as the chairman and member of numerous prominent institutions and high-level platforms. He studied #biology at the American University of Beirut, and in 1980 he completed his Ph.D. in Microbiology at The University of Gรถttingen, Germany, where he has also been appointed professorship in #microbiology since 1989. In 2004, Dr. Antranikian received the most prestigious prize for environment protection by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. ๐Ÿ”ธ๏ธ Currently, Prof. Antranikian is the chairman of the IBN Industrial Biotechnology North. He is a member of the Academy of Sciences of Hamburg and the Union of the German Academies of Sciences (acatech โ€“ Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften). Since 2007 he has been the coordinator of the ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜†๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿญ and the ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜†๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿญ clusters of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany. Since February 2018, he has been CEO of the Center for Biobased Solutions focusing on interdisciplinary projects on #bioeconomy and Chair of the Board of Advisors of Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (#FAST). Dr. Antranikian has an h-index - 63, peer-reviewed international publications - 230, international patents - 162.
