We’re thrilled to announce that our colleague Boris Marx has published a new peer-reviewed article in the Journal of Engineered Fibers and Fabrics (SAGE). The objective of this research is the development of a PEEK yarn and its further processing into a sewing thread. The mechanical properties of the PEEK yarn significantly exceed the state of technology. We would like to thank Evonik for providing the material and Filament-Technik for further processing the PEEK yarn into two sewing threads. We would also like to thank SAERTEX, Digel Sticktechnik and Groz-Beckert for further processing the PEEK sewing threads in three different textile processes. https://lnkd.in/gszaXtGk
