Stories Behind Numbers. “Am I Building Their Future or Losing Them?”: 'Marie Curie' Fellow Syed Imran Haider Explores the Hidden Emotional World of Migrant Fathers. Excellent research presenting the stories of migrant fathers. While the gender aspect in migration is often focused on women and children on the move, the stories of men as fathers are often missing. These men, living far away, struggling and working in difficult situations to provide for their families, struggle emotionally and often have a weak connection with their children. This struggle often continues after their return. Behind all the numbers and statistics, there are real people.
