Recently conducted visual checks, functional testing, and final inspection of a Choke Panel for Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) systems on behalf of McDermott. The scope covered full visual inspection and Bill of Materials verification, dimensional checks, paint shade and Dry Film Thickness (DFT) verification, functional testing including Dielectric Withstand Test, Inductor Test, Protective Earth Bond Test and full Operational Test, functional verification of auxiliary devices and control equipment including hygrostat, thermostat, heater operation and indicating lamps, raw material traceability certificates and manufacturer test certificates for major bought-out items, Type Test Certificates, IP Certificates and Hazardous Area ECAS Ex certifications review, punch clearance inspection, and packing and shipping verification. Choke panels for ESP systems are safety-critical electrical assemblies operating in hazardous classified areas on oil and gas installations. The combination of high-voltage dielectric withstand testing, Ex certification verification, and full functional testing of protection and control circuits ensures that the panel performs reliably and safely under demanding downhole pumping conditions — where an electrical failure means costly well intervention.
