I never post on LinkedIn about anything except my own research/work updates. But I'm done being quiet. Google offered me a Software Engineering internship, I passed every round, offer came in under a week. Can't start. Uber, passed their assessment, moved me forward, then pulled the offer. Export license delays. Both blocked not by my skills but by my passport. The irony? Uber's own CEO Dara Khosrowshahi is an Iranian immigrant. His company can't hire me because I'm Iranian. Iranian scientists lead breakthroughs across America every day. We are not a threat. We are an asset. I did everything right and I'm told to wait indefinitely with no timeline and no recourse.
