This is Erik, a doctor in Falun who works with occupational health at Falck 💙 His background is in psychiatry, but after several years in that field he wanted to work more on prevention and help people stay in, or return, to work in a healthy way. That is what led him to Falck. For Erik, the role is broad, developing and rewarding. At Falck, he gets to use the experience he has built in psychiatry, while also continuously learning more across other medical areas. With dedicated courses and the support of a supervisor, he is further developing his knowledge in occupational medicine. What Erik appreciates most is the strong team spirit. He works in a cross-professional team together with doctors, psychologists, rehab coordinators, ergonomists and other experts, all contributing to the bigger picture. Together with the employer and the network around the individual, they create solutions that make a real difference. Also, regular office hours and no on-call duties give him a good balance between working life and family life.
