𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆: Niels Henrik Abel (5 Aug 1802), a Norwegian mathematician who made major contributions in field of mathematics. He gave the complete proof showing the impossibility of solving the general quintic equation in radicals. He was also an innovator in the field of elliptic functions and discoverer of Abelian functions. He made his discoveries living in poverty and sadly died in poverty at the age of 26. Later, the Abel Prize was established in his memory. #mathematics #genius
