📢 Just announced: Prof. Maria Antonietta Loi has been awarded an ERC Proof of Concept Grant from the European Research Council (ERC). The EUR 150,000 grant supports the development of safe, fast and highly sensitive infrared detectors, building on her earlier ERC Advanced Grant–funded research. The technology shows strong potential for applications in autonomous vehicles, industrial automation and medical imaging. Using quantum dot–based detectors, this work aims to combine high performance with eye-safe operation and scalable, cost-effective production.
