Marco Fraaije has been awarded EUR 930,000 from the NWO (Dutch Research Council) Open Technology Programme for research on oxidative enzymes🎉 Using machine learning, the project aims to improve enzyme production and better predict enzyme activity—supporting more sustainable biotech solutions. In collaboration with Leiden University, dsm-firmenich, and GECCO Biotech, the team will develop tools to discover new oxidases and enhance their production.
