Six months at Tesla in Palo Alto have gone by very quickly. I had a very instructive time in the Thermal Modeling team led by Lilla Samia (Safford Smith), PhD. From the beginning, my mentor Jack DiPrete gave me full responsibility for my projects – such a great work environment at Tesla and a place to thrive! At some point, Lilla told me to think of myself as a full-time employee and not an intern. This pushed me even more to contribute the most to the team and Tesla’s mission. I had the great opportunity to work on two impactful projects for the next generation Megapacks. The final presentation/proposal to the Tesla Energy Director, AJ Booth was a great way to wrap up and hand off the project to my coworker Sebastien Sequeira. The end-of-internship presentation in an over-filled conference room and the great feedback about the presentation and the work was the best way I could imagine to end the internship at Tesla. Thanks to everyone I came across during my work at Tesla. Also, a big thanks to all the fellow interns and full-time workers I got to know over the many week-end trips during my time in California.
