Today, we're excited to announce Extend's BIGGEST update ever! 🎁 ❄️ 🎄 We have 4 major product launches to share (Q4 was our busiest quarter ever). If you haven't tried extend recently, the product looks completely different than it did 3 months ago. Here's what we've shipped: 1. Edit: A single API to fill any form, programmatically. Edit is already being used by publicly traded companies in ops-heavy industries. Template-based for forms you know (tax docs, compliance paperwork). Instruction-based for forms you've never seen before. Ideal for automatically filling out PDF forms, pre-populating documents with customer data, and generating filled documents at scale. 2. Agentic OCR: VLM-based correction system that actually reads messy handwriting and complex tables. Standard OCR chokes on faded text, stamps, and scribbled notes. Agentic OCR gives you OCR consistency/speed and VLM-based parsing accuracy for difficult handwriting and scans that SOTA OCR often misses. 3. Agentic Confidence Scoring: Uses a reviewer agent in post-processing to detect and flag issues in extraction. Detect and score issues in extraction. Flag extractions that look wrong before they hit your pipeline. Scores issues 1-5 so you know what needs human review and what doesn't. 4. Memory: Learn from previous corrections and improve accuracy automatically. When a new document comes in, it uses a layout model to query a dataset of past corrections, finds visually similar examples, and uses them to guide decisions. No tuning required.
