🩺 Heart disease and stroke account for nearly 20 million deaths globally each year, and Czechia remains among the European countries facing elevated cardiovascular risk. Some warning signs, from inherited cholesterol disorders to early plaque buildup, can develop quietly for years. These numbers don't just apply to Czech citizens. An expat's health history doesn't change when moving countries, but with everything else to worry about (securing visas, finding housing and schools, etc.), healthcare is often pushed to the bottom of the list. Preventive heart care can be easy to delay at exactly the moment it may matter most.
