Module 3 of our 𝗖𝗔𝗦 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗜 is a wrap. Three intense days at the University of Zurich on 𝗔𝗜 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. A few highlights: ▶️ Day 1 – 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. Dr. Daniel Fasnacht pushed the group beyond "AI-washing" toward an AI-First mindset that redesigns value creation, not just automates tasks, and introduced the shift from chatbots to Agentic AI. Dr. Joerg Storm grounded the hype: only a small fraction of companies are capturing real returns, because AI transformation is 70% people and process, 10% algorithms. ▶️Day 2 – 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗔𝗜. Daniel Naeff walked us through one of the world's densest AI ecosystems and the launch of Apertus, Switzerland's first large-scale open-source multilingual model. The conversation also turned to "Sciencepreneurship": falling in love with the problem, not the solution. ▶️Day 3 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀. Prof. Abraham Bernstein closed with the responsibility and governance layer of AI: the control problem, alignment, bias and data quality, and the evolving EU AI Act and Swiss framework. His framing stuck with us: the real question is not what AI can do, but what it should do. 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: AI won't replace your business. A competitor using AI effectively will. Transformation is a leadership mindset, not an IT project.
