🌟 Practitioner-Scholar Spotlight: Chris Angelides Chris is a senior energy executive, educator, and practitioner-scholar in the UH Bauer Executive DBA program. With three decades of global experience across the energy value chain, he has led transformation initiatives spanning strategy, operations, ESG, and energy transition—helping organizations navigate complexity while creating long-term value. Currently serving as Managing Director for Sustainability & Energy at EY (Ernest & Young), Chris previously led Shell’s U.S. Energy Transition Integration, positioning the organization for a net-zero future. His career reflects a record of measurable impact, including significant cost reduction, business growth, and value creation across large, complex energy organizations. In parallel, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at UH Bauer since 2016, teaching ESG and Sustainable Development, and contributes to academic leadership and governance through service on the Bauer College Board, alongside other advisory roles. Through the Executive DBA, Chris is strengthening his ability to translate decades of executive experience into rigorous, research-informed insight—exploring how risk-aware leadership and strategic decision-making can safeguard long-term enterprise value and strengthen organizational resilience. His work reflects a focus on responsible strategy as a driver of sustainable performance. On his greatest accomplishment: “As an immigrant from a small island nation, I created a life for myself and my eventual family in the U.S., having no prior connections, relationships, or experience.” This is the power of our Bauer Executive DBA: developing executives who don’t just apply knowledge—they create it.
