We at the Cluster of Excellence #Futureforests welcomed our growing community of researchers and contributors to a humble 🎉 housewarming party. 🎉 Following a warm welcome from the cluster’s spokesperson, Jürgen Bauhus, and executive director, May-Britt Becker, guests were invited to engage in an interactive discussion on #transformingforests from a #socialsciene perspective, which was facilitated by Stephanie Bethmann from the Forstliche Versuchs- und Forschungsanstalt Baden-Württemberg (FVA). Against the backdrop of a 3D visualization model, Markus Weiler gave an overview of study sites in the #blackforest and #upperrhine region and previewed some of the great research the cluster will be conducting. ☕ Most importantly, over 50 community members got to know each other better with the help of tasty finger food and beverages 🍴. We thank everyone who helped put together our housewarming party and look forward to our community continuing to grow and blend into an interdisciplinary team working towards making tomorrow's forests more resilient.
