A first glimpse of the founding teams that will shape the next decade. 10 EWOR fellows pitched 30+ founding-level roles to the operators who could work anywhere in the world, and showed up anyway. Among them were C-suite leaders from early stage to multi-billion IPOs, engineers who have shipped to hundreds of millions of users, math olympiad champions and serial founders with exits looking for their next serious challenge. Early team members are the most overlooked success factor in startups. Igor, WhatsApp's founding engineer, walked away with €150M. Most people in his position walked away with nothing. Operators Day exists because the norm should be sharing meaningful participation. Today's early team members become tomorrow's angel investors.
