This #MicrobiomeDay we highlight the critical role of human microbiota in shaping drug response and addressing one of the key challenges in drug development: the limited predictivity of preclinical models. A major missing component in traditional systems is the gut microbiome, which strongly influences drug absorption, metabolism, efficacy, and toxicity.
