We are excited to share our latest publication in JAC-Antimicrobial Resistance "𝗘𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗜𝟬𝟭 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝙞𝙣 𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙤 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻-𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙮𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙘𝙘𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙪𝙨 (𝗠𝗥𝗦𝗔) 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻". The study demonstrates that Epidermicin NI01, a first-in-class bacteriocin, showed significant activity against MRSA skin infections 𝘪𝘯 𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘰, supporting its further development as a novel topical therapeutic option against antimicrobial-resistant pathogens. As antimicrobial resistance continues to present a global healthcare challenge, innovative approaches such as bacteriocin-based therapeutics could help expand treatment options while supporting antibiotic stewardship efforts.
