This combination approach could offer greater dosing flexibility and allow for an improved therapeutic index for TCEs in solid tumors. Key findings about our CD2 bispecific: ๐นMaintains activity even after loss of CD58 by tumor cells โ a well-documented mechanism of TCE treatment resistance ๐นEffectively engages CD28-negative CD8 T cells, a large T cell population in elderly patients ๐นInduces markedly lower cytokine release than CD28-based costimulation approaches, supporting a potentially improved safety profile The work is based on a novel proprietary CD2 binder developed at Evotec that targets a unique epitope. A huge thank you to all co-authors and collaborators who contributed to this research.
