He recently celebrated his second anniversary with the company. Just last month, Matรญas led a team of eight people, working side by side with superintendent Johann Baudry on an engine overhaul project at the Atucha II nuclear power plant in Argentina. The maintenance covered two 18VPA6 diesel engines - a 10-year service involving the replacement of major components including cylinder heads, connecting rods, pistons, cylinder liners, camshafts, pumps and main bearings, as well as a 5-year inspection of critical components. The project was a series of โfirst-everโ for Matรญas: his first abroad training at the Everllence France Academy, and his first management role as night shift responsible - a responsibility he took on with confidence and delivered excellence. Currently, Matรญas is diving into the world of four-stroke engines and turbochargers. As he puts it: "I prefer working on these types of engines. Seeing those beast-size engines turned on, providing energy to different plants and vessels, reminds me of the potential that we as humans have when we work together, and motivates me to give my best in each project." On the Atucha II project, he added: "I'm so proud of this team and grateful for the hard work and passion that every single one of them put into making this project a reality." We're proud to have Matรญas on the team - and excited to see where the next project takes him. ๐ Want to join our international service outfit?
