PUBLICATION ALERT! Proud to share our latest paper published in eClinicalMedicine: “Health-related quality of life in patients with advanced soft tissue sarcoma receiving first-line palliative chemotherapy (HOLISTIC): longitudinal results from a prospective, observational cohort study.” 👉 Read the full open access article here: https://lnkd.in/eDY9Nni5 In this prospective study of patients with advanced Soft Tissue Sarcoma, conducted across the Netherlands and the UK, we found that: - Health-related quality of life significantly declined during first-line palliative chemotherapy, regardless of tumour response. - Fitter patients experienced a faster decline in Global Health Scores. ▶️ Integrating PROs is key to informed decision-making, as patients should be aware that palliative chemotherapy may reduce quality of life despite limited survival benefit. A huge thank you to all co-authors and collaborators from the HOLISTIC study for making this work possible! 💪 Winette van der Graaf Olga Husson Robin Jones Astrid Oosten Ingrid Desar Hans Gelderblom Neeltje Steeghs Leyla Azarang Dide den Hollander #SoftTissueSarcoma #QualityOfLife #PatientReportedOutcomes
