We all love a good field trip, right?! The electrification of transport journey took the EVC team out on an early morning field trip to a Melbourne apartment building basement car park, to conduct an on-site garaged vehicle survey, part of the data validation work behind the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA)-backed Knowledge Sharing project we're supporting with NOX Energy on EV charging in strata communities. We arrived courtesy of Polestar Australia, who kindly loaned us a Polestar 4 for the visit, providing an opportunity to showcase NOX Energy’s great charging solution for EV drivers living in apartment buildings.   Counting vehicle by vehicle, bay by bay, it was great to see the number of EVs in apartments are growing with charging supported by a NOX Intelligent Power Socket. What stood out was how ordinary and natural the EVs looked, parked between the petrol cars, charging quietly overnight. No fuss, just part of how people get around now. Thank you to Polestar Australia for the loan of the Polestar 4 for the visit. Seeing EVs quietly charging in apartment buildings is a reminder that the transition is already becoming part of everyday life. An important part of the EVC’s role is to help accelerate that transition by working with industry and government to remove barriers and ensure more Australians can access the benefits of electric transport, wherever they live.
