📢 Excited to share our new publication in Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology (PACE)! 👥 Racial Differences in Length of Stay After Atrial Fibrillation Ablation In a cohort of over 3,300 patients, we found that non-Hispanic Black patients had nearly double the odds of prolonged hospitalization after AF ablation compared to non-Hispanic White patients. ⚡ Importantly, this disparity was not fully explained by procedural complications. Instead, comorbidity burden and obesity only partially mediated the association—pointing toward broader social determinants of health and structural inequities as key drivers. ✨ Takeaway: Efforts to improve equity in AF care must go beyond procedural outcomes and address upstream barriers that influence recovery and hospitalization. Proud to have worked with this incredible team of colleagues, led by Waseem Nosair and spearheaded by Yasmina Sirgi, MPH, MS. 📄 Read the full #OpenAcess article here: https://lnkd.in/esGyuXCR #Cardiology #Electrophysiology #AtrialFibrillation #CatheterAblation #HealthEquity #HealthDisparities #Research #MedicalResearch
