EUA President Josep M. Garrell will take part in the 6th Annual Conference of the Arqus European University Alliance, taking place in Maynooth from 7 to 9 July 2026. Under the theme “Voices of Impact: Weaving Stories Across Europe,” the conference will bring together around 300 participants, including university leaders, students, staff from Arqus partner institutions, members of the Arqus International Advisory Board, and invited external experts. On 8 July, Josep Maria Garrell will contribute to Plenary Session 3: “Systemic Impact; Universities as Policy Shapers: Driving Change Through European Alliances.” The session will explore the strategic role of European universities in shaping policy, research priorities, and higher education frameworks across Europe. It will examine how universities and alliances can translate academic expertise into concrete action, engage with national and European institutions, and drive systemic change in response to major societal challenges.
