🛰️Two satellite families are being built for Galileo's second generation: one by Thales Alenia Space and one by Airbus Defence and Space.   The intersatellite links for both families of satellites have undergone extensive testing to ensure they are ready for life in orbit.  The intersatellite links will add a layer of robustness to the system and enable additional time synchronisation and ranging measurements of the satellites, which will ultimately improve Galileo's performance. The Galileo programme is managed by the European Commission under the EU Space programme.
