For nearly 30 years, the EU and South Africa have worked together in science, technology and innovation. At the iNkawu Vervet Project in a South African game reserve, ERC grantee Erica van de Waal from the Université de Lausanne studies more than 250 wild vervet monkeys to understand how culture and social learning help groups adapt to changing environments.
