The latest EHA newsletter is now available 📰 This week’s edition focuses on the role of helicopters in Europe’s aviation future — from emergency medical services, search and rescue and firefighting, to offshore support, policing and regional connectivity. As Europe prepares its next aviation strategy, EHA is calling for rules that better reflect the reality of helicopter operations: more proportionate, mission-based regulation, stronger harmonisation across Member States, and greater support for the pilots and engineers who keep these essential services flying. 🌍 The newsletter also looks at how artificial intelligence could support safety in challenging weather conditions, particularly in relation to inadvertent IMC, while making clear that technology must remain an aid to — not a replacement for — pilot judgement and operational experience. 🧭 Additional updates include L’Hélico 2026 in Cholet, EHA’s participation at PAvCon Europe in Málaga, and recent European Parliament discussions on defence, transport resilience, sustainable aviation fuels and future airspace integration.
