Marteloscope sites are forest areas where trees are numbered, measured, and mapped. 🌳📏 For each tree, data are collected on microhabitats – such as cavities, wounds, deadwood, fungi, mosses, lichens, and bird nests – as well as economic information, such as wood quality and estimated value. In this video, our senior researcher Michael den Herder explains how forest owners can use the Marteloscope software to collect and process this information in practice. During the summer and autumn of this year, the PRUDENT project will invite forest owners to discover different types of forest management. https://lnkd.in/dh_fbhQG
