Let the truth be told, let the press be free.    Journalists have the power to uncover injustice, and keep citizens informed.    But across the world, they continue to face threats, censorship, and violence, simply for doing their job.    This World Press Freedom Day, we reaffirm our commitment to defending media freedom and protecting journalists.    📜 The European Media Freedom Act strengthens editorial independence and media pluralism.  ⚖️ The EU continues to act against abusive lawsuits aimed at silencing journalists and activists.  🌐 The Digital Services Act helps create a safer online environment while safeguarding freedom of expression.    Democracy needs independent journalism. People have a right to reliable information.
