A shared commitment that transcends EU borders. Roma communities deserve to be treated equally and to enjoy their full rights as Europeans. On #InternationalRomaDay, we honour the rich tapestry of Roma culture – the art, culture, language, and important contributions to European history. Europe is home to 10–12 million Roma, including 6 million in the EU. Yet antigypsyism and marginalisation still affect many of them. Access to essentials such as decent housing and quality education remains an issue. The EU Roma Strategic Framework 2020–2030 sets clear goals for inclusion and remains our compass.
