Amid rising geopolitical pressures and new energy disruptions, Europe stands at another crossroad. To stay resilient, European Institutions can safeguard effective policies like the Emission Trading System (ETS) while accelerating the Clean Industrial Deal’s ambitious agenda. The European Climate Neutrality Observatory (ECNO) is launching its new Clean Industrial Transition Monitor. This report examines more than 80 initiatives under the EU’s Clean Industrial Deal, showing that the policy package covers nearly every driver needed to accelerate a clean industrial transition. The launch event will feature a presentation from report authors Corinna Fürst (Ecologic Institute) and Aneta Stefańczyk (Reform Institute), followed by a panel discussion with industry leaders including Samuel Flückiger (Hydnum Steel) and Małgosia Rybak, EMBA (CEPI). This discussion comes at a critical moment: accelerating electrification, boosting renewables, and reducing fossil fuel dependency are essential strategies for Europe’s resilience, security and leadership.
