Some projects become more than projects. Several departments within the City of Gothenburg has been nominated for its internal Innovator of the Year award based on their work in the European Citiverses Uniting for Inclusiveness project. The award recognises initiatives that contribute to new ways of working, create value for citizens, and strengthen the city’s ability to address future challenges through innovation. This year, particular emphasis is placed on initiatives that help tackle societal challenges while contributing to social, environmental and economic sustainability. What makes this nomination particularly meaningful is that the City of Gothenburg is also the project owner. The project strengthens the city’s and several departments ongoing work in digital innovation, accessibility and inclusion. A sincere thank you to everyone involved in the journey so far. Being nominated is already a recognition of the commitment, curiosity and collaboration that have shaped the project. The nomination was, of course, celebrated with coffee and cake at City of Gothenburg Intraservice, earlier this week. The winner will be announced at the City of Gothenburg’s Meeting Place for Digitalisation and Innovation on 9 October. We are keeping our fingers crossed! 🌟 Julia Olander Dan Folkesson Fredrik Hallgren Eric Jeansson Gunilla Gudmunds Kim Lantto Stadsbyggnadsförvaltningen, Göteborgs Stad Göteborgs Stad Johan De Paoli Göteborg & Co 👋
