Russia just lost an air-defense "eye" in Belgorod Oblast. Ukraine's 429th Achilles Brigade burned a $60-million Kasta-2E early-warning radar near the village of Volotovo, 80 km inside Russia. A reconnaissance drone detected the system first. A kamikaze drone with automatic target capture and in-flight target correction then landed a direct hit on the antenna module. Russia uses the Kasta-2E to see aircraft, missiles, and even drones at low altitude and feed the data to its surface-to-air missile systems. The radar tracks up to 200 targets within a 150-km radius. Each successful hit on a Russian radar thins the screen that protects Russian rear bases, command nodes, and logistics. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dCQufgj8
