Digital environments are increasingly shaping the way people live, learn, work and age, creating both new potential and risks for health and wellbeing. Digital tools help people stay healthy, but they can also expose them to harm, undermining active lifestyles and negatively affecting mental wellbeing. Children, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups are often most at risk. To avoid deepening existing health inequalities, health must be at the centre of digital regulation. In a new statement following our seminar in Warsaw, the EuroHealthNet Partnership is calling for action to: 👉 Build digital spaces and hybrid environments that protect and promote health 👉 Make tech platforms accountable for the harm they cause 👉 Protect real-world, human connection and capabilities Learn more about the seminar ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e3CzERyJ A big thanks to Kremlin Wickramasinghe and the WHO Regional Office for Europe for helping shape the discussions.
