🥼 We’re proud to spotlight Joby Thomas, Group Technical Manager at Eurofins Water Testing UK, in recognition of his commitment to advancing science and upholding quality excellence. Over more than a decade within the Eurofins network, Joby has led transformative projects at Eurofins Water Testing in the United Kingdom; improving programmes, workflows and driving per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) monitoring initiatives. With a focus on health and safety, Joby has also improved method designs while maintaining efficient turn-around times. Joby was recently awarded two external, competence-based professional recognitions, which were presented to him during a memorable visit to Eurofins Analyses pour le Bâtiment Ouest, part of the Eurofins Environment Testing network of laboratories in Nantes, France. In addition to being appointed a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, which recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to the chemical sciences, he also received the Chartered Chemist designation, an accreditation awarded by the Royal Society of Chemistry to professionals who demonstrate advanced scientific competence and a commitment to ongoing development. Reflecting on these milestones, Joby described the achievements as a truly defining moment in his career; “Earning the Chartered Chemist designation reflects years of dedication to advancing chemical science and maintaining the highest standards of professional practice. I’m equally proud to be part of a distinguished community committed to shaping the future of chemistry as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry”. 📸 Sébastien MELIN, Business Project Manager at the Eurofins Group Service Centre in France, was on site to present both awards to him, the highlight of a very special day.
