Eurofins Biomnis launches new clinical LC‑MS/MS method for the detection of cereulide in stool samples ☣︎ Eurofins Biomnis, part of the global Eurofins network of Clinical Diagnostics laboratories, is pleased to announce the successful development and validation of a new liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC‑MS/MS) method for the detection and quantification of cereulide in human stool samples. Cereulide, an emetic toxin produced by the bacterium Bacillus cereus, recently garnered significant public attention following an unprecedented recall of infant formula affecting more than 90 countries worldwide.  The launch of this method underscores Eurofins Biomnis’ commitment to diagnostic innovation and its dedication to reducing medical uncertainty with solutions that support clinicians and laboratories globally.
