Close cooperation🤝 in support of aviation #standardisation with EUROCAE at #ATI2026 – the Avionics and Testing Innovations Conference & Exhibition in London on 2–3 June. At our joint stand we discussed all matters #regulation, #standardisation & #innovation with the #avionics community, with the following specific interventions in the conference sessions: 📍Day 1: Latest in regulations & mandates Chaired by Marijan Jozic, the session featured #EUROCONTROL's insights on the evolving European #ATM framework: 🎤Nikos Fistas presented the latest developments in European ATM regulation & standardisation. 🎤Jorge PEREIRA examined civil-military #interoperability challenges & the benefits of dual-use standards. The session also included valuable contributions by: ➡️Enrico Parini (#CANSO) on SES2+ provisions for air navigation service providers (#ANSPs) & CANSO's vision for implementation across Europe ➡️Andrea Trimarchi (#EUROCAE) on the new conformity framework for ground #ATM/#ANS equipment & the recommendations of WG-130. 📍Day 2: #AI/#ML & autonomy in avionics 🎤Sergio Ruiz, PhD presented EUROCONTROL's work in the #SESAR 3 ENSURE project, supporting the European ATM Master Plan vision for ATM–#Uspace convergence. He focused on: ✔️ TRL7 validation of ATM/U-space interoperability in shared airspace. ✔️ Digital coordination services & Dynamic Airspace Reconfiguration, enabling the safe integration of manned & unmanned traffic. ✔️ Key lessons learned from validation activities, together with the regulatory & standardisation implications for future large-scale deployment. Overall, #ATI2026 provided an excellent opportunity to showcase ongoing activities, exchange views with stakeholders & reinforce the importance of aligning innovation, regulation & standardisation to deliver the #DigitalEuropeanSky and enable the safe integration of new airspace users. #ATM #Uspace #AviationInnovation #Interoperability #AI #MachineLearning #AviationStandards #DigitalSky
