✈️📊Our new #DataSnapshot reveals that the average flight in Europe is flying longer, heavier, higher & carrying more passengers🧳. 2025 data confirm that the average IFR flight in the #EUROCONTROL Network Manager (#NM) area is flying: 🛬18 km longer than 2024, to reach 1,175 km on average - & passing through 3.7 countries in the #NM area, with nearly one-third crossing French airspace 🛬0.5 tonnes heavier than 2024 (and 4.5 tonnes vs 2018) at an average #MTOW of 90.9 tonnes 🛬1 flight level higher than 2024 at FL351 - reflecting the ongoing shift from commuter aircraft & regional jets (traffic share: 17% 2018➡️12% 2025) towards more efficient narrow & wide-body aircraft (69%➡️74%) 🛬1 seat more on average than 2024 at 184 seats per flight - and +11 vs 2018. No surprises regarding the two most common types: throughout 2018-2025, the Airbus 320 & the Boeing 737-800 remain on top 👑 with #MTOWs between 70-80 tonnes, but in 2025 the Airbus 321neo (MTOW: 97 tonnes) moved into fourth place, marking the first appearance of a higher #MTOW type in the top four over this eight-year period. 👉 Read our #EUROCONTROL #DataSnapshot at https://lnkd.in/emRiMXkQ
