Corruption costs Europe billions.  But the real price is trust.    New EU rules are now in force to fight corruption more effectively across the Union.   For too long, fragmentation allowed corruption to exploit gaps.  Now, we have a common framework ensuring: 🔹 Clear definitions of corruption offences  🔹 Stronger criminal penalties  🔹 Better tools for investigation and prosecution  🔹 Common standards for prevention, integrity and transparency     Because corruption isn’t just illegal.  It weakens democracy, distorts markets and fuels crime.    Stronger rules.
