🌱✨ From flirting in the park to starting a non-profit together What started as a chance encounter in Rotterdam’s Prinsemolen Park has blossomed into Maria & Pepe, a pop-up restaurant and cultural platform redefining connection through plant-based Mexican cuisine and shared experiences. Alumni Maria Indjeian Díaz (Sociology) and Joost van Beek (Philosophy) didn’t just fall in love; they built a space through food and a little Mexican magic. Their foundation, now in its fourth edition, is more than a restaurant: it’s a hub for storytelling evenings, communal dinners, and workshops—all designed to break down barriers and foster human connection.
