The 2026 edition of the EUIPO Guidelines for Examination is now in force. The updated Guidelines incorporate recent legislative changes, case-law developments and practice updates, helping users navigate EU trade mark and design procedures with greater clarity and predictability. Key updates cover geographical indications, opposition and cancellation proceedings, design examination, invalidity practice, digital procedures and e-communication.
