'Freedom is the only style' has long defined Philippe Starck's vision of democratic design: the belief that creation should improve daily life and serve as many people as possible. After more than 10 000 creations, Starck continues to challenge the role of design in society, defending it as an ethical act rather than a purely aesthetic one.
