This is how the EUIPO (Office for the Harmonisation of the Internal Market back in those days) was introduced to the public in 1996… But, how we got here? The answer is in our Historical archives. The EUIPO maintains Historical Archives that preserve the Office’s official documents and archival material dating back to our early years. These archives are part of a wider EU transparency and “historical archives” approach, making institutional history accessible over time, so researchers, stakeholders and citizens can better understand how Europe’s public bodies have evolved and delivered for users. For the EUTM system, that matters. The archive is a reminder that behind every milestone there is a rich institutional memory: decisions, processes, cooperation, and the steady work of building a system that helps businesses protect and grow their brands across the EU. If you’re curious about the EUIPO’s journey, and the foundations of one of the world’s most widely used trade mark systems, the Historical Archives are there for you. https://lnkd.in/ednvZ2XH
