"Architects design blueprints for structures; I design blueprints for business execution." 🏛️📈 Many people ask me why I transitioned from Architecture at Universitas Indonesia & Universitas Pelita Harapan to Strategic Initiatives at LippoLand. To me, the core discipline hasn't changed at all. I am still building—just shifting from physical spaces to operational business models. Here are 3 transferable principles from architecture that I apply daily to make our corporate strategies bulletproof: 1️⃣ The Master Plan (Long-Term Planning): 🗺️ An architect designs for the future, anticipating how a space will function years down the line. In my current role, I own the long-term planning frameworks, ensuring our strategic vision translates into sustainable corporate growth rather than just short-term fixes. 2️⃣ Cross-Functional Blueprinting (Sales, Delivery, & Installation): ⚙️ A master plan fails if the structural, electrical, and aesthetic teams don’t communicate. I act as the central bridge—aligning the sales pipeline with customer delivery and installation teams. My goal is to ensure that what was promised on paper is delivered flawlessly on the ground, on time, and within scope. 3️⃣ Structural Integrity & Ecosystem Management (Vendors & Conflict Resolution): 🛡️ Buildings must withstand earthquakes; business operations must withstand disruptions. Managing large-scale initiatives means orchestrating complex vendor networks and mastering client relations. When high-stakes customer complaints arise, I apply structural problem-solving for swift conflict resolution, transforming bottlenecks into improved operational loops. Strategy is not just about having a big vision; it's about engineering the human and operational ecosystem to make it happen. To my fellow professionals, what’s your take on cross-disciplinary skills in corporate strategy?
