I took some rest and relaxation time away from LinkedIn. Now let's kickoff 2022 with a new #scenicsunday! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 45 Seconds From Broadway Opened on Broadway in 2001 at the Richard Rodgers Theater. Scenic rendering by John Lee Beatty ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Set in a coffee shop in New York. The set had a ceiling made of curved scrim. Scrim is a mesh fabric that can "disappear" under certain lighting conditions. The coffee shop had a ceiling most of the show but at times allowed the outside view of the city. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The production was directed by Jerry Zaks who currently has two Broadway shows running: The Music Man and Mrs. Doubtfire. The assistant director was Marc Bruni who would go on to direct the 6 year Broadway run of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. He also directed the recent off Broadway production of Trevor, based off the 1994 film about a thirteen year old boy who is a huge Diana Ross fan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Directed by Jerry Zaks Scenic Design by John Lee Beatty Costume Design by William Ivey Long Lighting Design by Paul Gallo Sound Design by Peter J. Fitzgerald Hair & Wig Design by Paul Huntley Assistant Director Marc Bruni Written by Neil Simon ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This rendering is accompanied by: ⭐️ Photos of the color model ⭐️ Rough sketch showing rain outside ⭐️ Rough set sketch showing "the lights of Broadway" Shared with permission. #setdesign #setdesigner #broadway #thecreativelife
